Spectral reflectance properties of carbonaceous chondrites: 7. CK chondrites

► Reflectance spectra of 15 CK chondrites have been measured, including multiple petrologic grades and grain sizes. ► Their spectra are all characterized by a 1 μm region olivine absorption band. ► Reflectance at 0.56 μm varies from 9.3% to 22.5%, and olivine band depth varies from 6.7% to 31.0%. ► High petrologic grade CKs have deeper absorption bands than lower grade CKs. ► If CKs are derived from CVs, metamorphic temperatures of between 1000 and 1200 °C are required by spectral criteria.
