Apolipoprotein levels in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients

Apolipoprotein measurements present some methodological advantages when compared with LDL-C quantification. Apolipoproteins estimation can be included in the dyslipidaemia work-up of diabetics. But larger studies are still needed to confirm the practical superiority of apolipoprotein over traditional dyslipidaemia markers.
