Pb10V6O25: A new lead vanadate with apatite structure

A new apatite-type crystal Pb10V6O25 has been grown by high temperature solution method. The main structure composed of infinite Pb(1)V6O24 three-dimension framework with hexagonal star tunnels. Thermal analyses indicate that Pb10V6O25 is an incongruent melting compound. First-principles calculations are performed to elucidate the electronic structure and optical properties.551
