Oxidation mechanisms of dimethyl selenide and selenoxide in the atmosphere initiated by OH radical. A theoretical study

► DMSe and DMSeO form strong adducts with OH radical. ► The main products from DMSe + OH are DMSe·OH and CH3SeCH2. ► DMSe·OH is converted to DMSeO in the atmosphere. ► The main product from DMSeO + OH is CH3Se(O)OH.
