In this paper, an attempt was made to simulate the electromagnetic properties of various combinations of aluminum - multiwalled carbon nanotube - ferric oxide hybrid composite. The properties such as the magnetic flux density, magnetic field strength and energy were estimated using Ansys Maxwell software. Discrete and continuous modeling techniques were used in the software to analyze the material properties and the results were compared. The results showed that the continuous models were reliable than the discrete models. It was predicted that the electromagnetic properties of the composites improved based on the volume percentage of the reinforcement particles. The results also proved that there was a considerable improvement in the electromagnetic property in the composite when compared to pure aluminum. An experimental validation proved that the results predicted by the software was much closer and had an error of 9.5% for magnetic flux density and 7.02% for magnetic field strength.
