The most common benign tumor was Warthin tumor (n = 26) and the most common malignant tumor was salivary duct carcinoma (n = 5). Fine needle aspiration cytology had a diagnostic sensitivity of 100%, positive-predictive value of 97.0%, and accuracy of 97.3% for diagnosing benign parotid tumors.ConclusionsWarthin tumor was the most common benign tumor, and salivary duct carcinoma was the most frequent malignant tumor in this study. Surgical treatment is the mainstay treatment for benign and malignant parotid tumors.
