Widening the application of AATSR SST data to operational tasks through the Medspiration Service

► The Medspiration Project pioneered operational SST data to GHRSST specification. ► It demonstrated the utility of a matchup database for evaluating SST data quality. ► It developed a high resolution diagnostic dataset for comparing SST products. ► Producing AATSR SST data in GHRSST L2P form led to new operational applications. ► AATSR data are routinely used in several global analyses of sea surface temperature.
