Abstract
Within the limitations of a non-randomized study, our results are in agreement with those obtained from published randomized phase III trials which state that radiation therapy alone is a suboptimal treatment for locally advanced cervical cancer; hence, patients should receive cisplatin-based chemoradiotherapy as a standard treatment.
