Abstract
In patients with macular hole and extensive subretinal fluid, improved visual acuity and hole closure can be achieved. Preoperative OCT in these patients demonstrates vitreoretinal interface abnormalities, CME, and extensive subretinal fluid. These changes resolve postoperatively.
