Abstract
The authors concluded that there is no significant limitation in the strength of the donor leg after removal of the rectus femoris muscle and consequently no significant functional donor-site morbidity. We believe that for the realisation of such results that the intraoperative linking of the vastus lateralis muscle with the vastus medialis muscle, especially in their lower third, and an extensive postoperative rehabilitation and training program are essential.
