Abstract
Intratesticular varicocele is a rare and relative recently recognized entity. The condition is characterized by dilatation of intratesticular veins. It was first described by Weiss et al. in 1992 [Weiss AJ, Kellman GM, Middleton WD, Kirkemo A. Intratesticular varicocele: sonographic findings in two patients. AJR Am J Roentgenol 1992;158(5):1061-3.]. Since then, less than 50 cases of intratesticular varicocele have been reported. Diagnosis of intratesticular varicocele is made on identification of a tubular or oval structure within the testicle with venous flow and a positive response to the Valsalva's maneuver in color Doppler sonography. We describe two cases of this entity and review previously reported cases.
