Abstract
In this paper, we explore the use of single- and multi-source image fusion for statistical decision-making. On the basis of usability and loss functions, two image fusion procedures are formulated. For each of these, an optimality criterion is defined. First, attention focuses on fusion of different bands within a single image, which is segmented and classified. Second, a geostatistical procedure is identified to fuse a D-InSAR image with point measurements on leveling. A decision of the optimal fusion procedure is done using a qualitative decision criterion.
