Abstract
Our data suggest that halothane accelerates DA metabolism at presynaptic sites by releasing DA from reserpine-sensitive storage vesicles to the cytoplasm in a calcium-independent manner. The metabolic oxidative stress of inhalation anaesthesia requires future investigation.
