Abstract
In this work, the polymer poly-vinylphenylboronic acid (PVPBA) functionalized SBA-15 polymeric mesoporous composite material (PVPBA-S15) were prepared, in which PVPBA was covalently bonded to the framework SBA-15 with modified polymer in situ. Thus, a novel kind of organic-inorganic polymeric mesoporous luminescent hybrids containing Ln3+ complex covalently attached to the PVPBA-Functionalized ordered mesoporous SBA-15, which were designated as Ln (PVPBA-S15)3 and Ln (PVPBA-S15)3phen respectively. (Lnâ¯=â¯Eu, Tb; phenâ¯=â¯1, 10-phenanthroline), were synthesized by sol-gel process. It was hoped to obtain the resulting material retained the highly ordered mesoporous structure with hexagonal symmetry of the space group p6mm after the complexation. The results revealed that the polymer PVPBA can be a good linker to preserve the mesostructure and also be a good ligand to sensitize the lanthanide (Eu/Tb) ions for luminescence.241
