Abstract
Initial spatial chirp has a remarkable influence on dynamical behaviors of nonlocal solitons including fundamental mode and higher-order solitons. By experimental procedure, an initial spatial chirp can be imposed on nonlocal soliton and make it present some novel characteristics. Under the influence of initial spatial chirp, the fundamental mode soliton exhibits oscillatory behavior during its propagation. However, multipole-mode soliton with an initial spatial chirp divides into a corresponding number of single-peak parts; these single-peak parts collide periodically for a small initial spatial chirp or irreversible separation from each other for a big initial spatial chirp. Both the sign and the absolute value of initial spatial chirp affect different aspects of dynamical behavior of nonlocal soliton.
