Abstract
The water-soluble heme analogue, 5,10,15,20-tetrakis(4-sulfonatophenyl) porphyrinato iron(III) chloride (FeTPPS), binds to the positively charged surface region of serum albumin(SA), which could inhibit its peroxidase activity, while heme bind to a hydrophobic cavity in the sub-domain IB of SA and with an increased peroxidase activity.99
