Abstract
A diode-pumped 1347â¯nm laser with a novel Nd:GdNbO4 crystal is demonstrated for the first time to our best knowledge. Laser performance around 1.3â¯Î¼m under 879â¯nm laser diode pumping is investigated with different output mirrors, pump radii and repetition rates. A maximum average power ofâ¯â¼â¯373 mW at 1347â¯nm is achieved at 50â¯Hz, corresponding to an optical-to-optical efficiency of 5.5% and a slope efficiency of 6.8%.
