Abstract
Mesenteric Lymphangioma (ML) is a rare condition. To the best of our knowledge, only 4 mesenteric calcified cystic lymphangiomas have been reported in pediatric population. We describe a girl, admitted to our hospital with abdominal pain. An abdominal computed tomography showed a calcified cystic mass in the lower abdomen labelled as Teratoma. During surgery, there was a lobulated mass, lying in the mesentery of the small bowel, which was resected with the adjacent bowel with primary anastomosis. Histopathology, shows a calcified cystic lymphangioma. We conclude, mesenteric lymphangiomas should be taken into account whenever calcified abdominal mass is entertained.
