Abstract
Combining novel urinary biomarkers of renal injury with a creatinine-based metric soon after cardiac surgery provided excellent prognostic utility for serious adverse outcomes. Future studies are required to confirm these findings and determine optimal biomarker combinations for cost-effective risk stratification.
