Abstract
⺠Uncatalyzed phenol oxidation with H2O2 is a key contributor to phenol selectivity. ⺠Uncatalyzed oxidation contributes to differences in catalyst phenol selectivities. ⺠Reaction additives are found that can inhibit uncatalyzed phenol oxidation.
