Abstract
âºTMSCN reacts with the silanol groups of the catalyst deactivating it. âºNa is not essential in the catalytic cyanosilylation of acetophenone. âºOrdered catalysts such as MCM-41 perform much better in this reaction than amorphous TUD-1. âºThe cyanosilylation is not diffusion limited.
