Abstract
⺠Sulfated metal oxides catalyze sorbitol dehydration efficiently. ⺠Calcination temperatures affect catalytic activity dramatically. ⺠Crystalline structure and surface property lead to various catalytic performances. ⺠Sulfated copper oxide exhibits the best activity.
