Abstract
Newly developed Ni on dolomite catalyst (Ni/dolomite) exerted high activity and stability under a short contact time of W/F: 0.55 g h/mol, for the gasification of tar by steam, which was investigated by using toluene as the model compound. Moreover, the performance of the Ni/dolomite catalysts gave negligible carbon deposition, while the conventional supported Ni catalysts gave fairly large carbon deposition. It was found that the calcination temperature significantly influences the property and the activity of the Ni/dolomite catalyst.
