Abstract
Hybrid catalyst composed of Co/SiO2 and Pd/beta was applied for direct production of gasoline ranged iso-paraffins from synthesis gas (COÂ +Â H2, syngas) via Fischer-Tropsch (FT) route. Very high selectivity toward gasoline ranged iso-paraffins was obtained without obvious increase of CH4 selectivity. Furthermore, the contact state between Co/SiO2 and Pd/beta in the hybrid catalyst (powdery mixture and granular mixture) had a clear effect on product distribution. Unexpectedly, the granular hybrid catalyst showed lower CH4 selectivity and much higher iso-paraffin selectivity than the powdery hybrid catalyst did, in which was explained on the concept of hydrogen spillover.
