Abstract
⺠Modification of zeolite beta with melamine creates a basic zeolite-organic composite. ⺠The organic-inorganic composite is highly thermal stable. ⺠A cationic melamine species is formed in the zeolite. ⺠The activity of the composite in the Knoevenagel condensation depends on the acid/base site composition.
