Abstract
⺠We model the effects of shrub encroachment on nighttime temperatures. ⺠Results show warmer nights in the shrubland than in the grassland. ⺠Green vegetation fraction is the key vegetation parameter. ⺠Larger green vegetation fraction leads to lower nighttime temperature.
