Abstract
⺠Species mass, momentum and energy equations are developed for multicomponent systems. ⺠Species thermal energy equation provides the total thermal energy equation containing new source terms. ⺠New thermal energy source terms provide new entropy production terms. ⺠Results indicate that the gradient of the chemical potential is not a reasonable driving force for diffusion.
