Abstract
⺠A new hybrid distillation-pervaporation process is presented. ⺠Distillation and pervaporation are combined in a single unit. ⺠The process is investigated for ethanol separation. ⺠The hybrid process is capable of breaking the ethanol-water azeotrope. ⺠Intensification led to a more efficient and compact process than distillation.
