Abstract
⺠An ISE based on a new ionophore is used successfully to determine cerium (III) cation over the concentration range 1.0 Ã 10â1-2.1 Ã 10â9 mol lâ1. ⺠It has a fast response time of 10 s. ⺠It has comparatively good selectivities with respect to metal cations. ⺠It can be used in a pH range of 5.0-8.0. ⺠It also was used as an indicator electrode in potentiometric determination of Fâ ion in some real sample preparations.
