Abstract
⺠An analysis of the onsets of charge/discharge curves of LiyFePO4 is performed by means of a mathematical model. ⺠It reveals a dependence of the apparent “particle radius” on the current density. ⺠The mosaic model, introduced some years ago for lithium insertion/deinsertion in LiyFePO4, is invoked to account for this unusual dependence.
