Abstract
⺠The performance of the van der Waals family of equations of state has been found to be highly dependent on the values of the critical constants used. ⺠Lydersen's method has been found to be more reliable for the evaluation of the critical pressure than for the critical temperature. ⺠The use of Antoine's constants for the determination of the compatibility between the values of the critical constants has proved to be a valuable tool for generating reliable equation of state parameters.
