Abstract
⺠We use a pressurized heated grid reactor for the study of primary fragmentation of coal. ⺠We perform experiments on different coals up to 1900 K and 12 bar with heating rate of 5000 K/s. ⺠We measure the probability of fragmentation and the multiplication factors. ⺠Fragmentation increases with temperature. ⺠The effect of pressure is nonmonotonous.
