Experimental and kinetic modeling study of ethyl butanoate oxidation in a laminar tubular plug flow reactor

► Ethyl butanoate (EB) as model molecule for fatty acid ethyl esters (FAEE). ► New experiments of EB oxidation were carried out in a tubular plug flow reactor. ► T/K [500-1200], P/atm = 1, equival. ratios [0.5-1.6], resid. time STP/s [0.65-1.40]. ► Good agreement between experimental and simulated results (detailed mechanism). ► Proposal for the main reaction pathways involved in the investigated conditions.
