Abstract
► We investigated CIVB flashback propensity of H2-CO and actual syngas mixtures. ► Presence of H2 in the fuel mixtures dictated the flashback tendency. ► Higher Swirl Number decreased the flashback propensity of the mixtures. ► A flame quenching was developed to parameterize the fuel composition effect.
