Abstract
⺠Relation between coal properties and kinetics of pyrolysis established first time. ⺠Chemometrics tools (PCA & HCA) were used to get linkages between these parameters. ⺠Carbon controls the dehydrogenation, primary devolatilization and dehydrogenation. ⺠H and H/C ratio control the secondary devolatilization and dehydrogenation of coal. ⺠Ash catalyzed the dehydrogenation reaction.
