Abstract
⺠We compare detailed kinetic models for methane ignition in diluted conditions. ⺠Results show the existence of a Negative Temperature Coefficient region at 1 atm. ⺠Reaction pathway analyses highlight the controlling steps of methane auto-ignition. ⺠Methane recombination route is mainly responsible of the NTC behavior. ⺠Kinetic mechanisms reliability in novel conditions should be verified.
