Abstract
► The present research work highlights the possibility of using acetylene in diesel engines. ► Timed injection technology is introduced for inducting acetylene in the diesel engine to avoid back fire. ► Gaseous fuel produce higher NOx, but in this technique reduced NOx emission is noticed.
