Abstract
⺠Croton Oil Methyl Ester (COME) was evaluated to replace diesel in CI engine. ⺠Most of its properties fulfilled minimum requirements of ASTM D6751 and EN 14214. ⺠The use of antioxidants increased the oxidation stability to meet EN 14214 (6 h). ⺠It had no significant effects on engine performance, emission and combustion. ⺠COME recommended to be utilized as partial substitute for mineral diesel
