Abstract
In Hahn cell technique, the empirical rate equation is: Fb = 10â 5.9[MnA2.HA.H2A2](o)(1 + 0.0025[H+](i)â 1)â 1(1 + 2.8[H2A2](o)0.5)â 1. Analysis of this equation together with the Ea value of 12-42 kJ/mol indicate that the stripping process is completely diffusion controlled in the low pH and extractant concentration region and in other parametric condition, that is intermediate controlled. For both cells, the ratio of (kf) to (kb) equals almost to Kex of 10â 2.44 obtained from the distribution study.
