Abstract
► A highly enlarged surface area of mesoporous Pt electrode (roughness factor = 220) was used in the luminol ECL experiment. ► Strong luminol ECL responses related to reductions of PtO and molecular oxygen were observed in a neutral solution pH. ► The luminol ECL response was greatly enhanced in the presence of hydrogen peroxide. ► The present luminol ECL based on mesoporous Pt electrode can detect hydrogen peroxide in nanomolar concentration range.
