Abstract
► Gelatin-based films containing Yucca schidigera extract and glycerol were produced by extrusion, blown extrusion and casting. ► Elongation of films produced by extrusion was significantly superior. ► Morphology of the transversal section presented a compact structure for all studied films. ► Greater resistance to water vapor was observed for blown films (0.12 g mm m−2 h−1 kPa−1).
