Abstract
⺠Gelatin-based films containing Yucca schidigera extract and glycerol were produced by extrusion, blown extrusion and casting. ⺠Elongation of films produced by extrusion was significantly superior. ⺠Morphology of the transversal section presented a compact structure for all studied films. ⺠Greater resistance to water vapor was observed for blown films (0.12 g mm mâ2 hâ1 kPaâ1).
