Abstract
⺠CFD can be used to qualify self life for carbonated beverages in polyethylene terephthalate. ⺠The carbonation level depends non-linearly on storage temperature and initial carbonation. ⺠The thickness distribution of polyethylene terephthalate can affect overall shelf life. ⺠The model can be employed in inexpensive trials of new designs “best used by” date assessment.
