Abstract
⺠We use backscattering imaging to detect chilling injury (CI) in bananas. ⺠The performance of the backscattering imaging was explained by means of chemical reference analyses. ⺠Backscattering area increased and decreased as the lights interact with chemical properties in bananas. ⺠The changes of the backscattering area give effect to backscattering profile. ⺠The changes of backscattering profile provide potential of prediction and classification of chill-injured fruits.
