Abstract
► We describe Candida krusei biofilm formation on turbulent flow. ► We study the effect of cleaning and disinfection process on these flow-generated biofilms. ► C. krusei biofilm formation increases when increasing Reynolds number and time. ► The biofilm morphology revealed the influence of hydrodynamic drag. ► Total removal of biofilm cells and debris was not achieved by cleaning and disinfection.
