Abstract
⺠We describe Candida krusei biofilm formation on turbulent flow. ⺠We study the effect of cleaning and disinfection process on these flow-generated biofilms. ⺠C. krusei biofilm formation increases when increasing Reynolds number and time. ⺠The biofilm morphology revealed the influence of hydrodynamic drag. ⺠Total removal of biofilm cells and debris was not achieved by cleaning and disinfection.
