Abstract
► Oil addition during drying resulted in higher impregnation vs. addition before or after drying. ► Dynamic flow process was superior to static process in terms of lipid content of the aerogels. ► Pressure, but not temperature, had a significant effect on oil impregnation efficiency. ► SCCO2 impregnation shows potential for novel bioactive lipid delivery vehicles.
