Abstract
⺠Sodium alginate and pectin are excellent materials to make edible films. ⺠Sorption kinetics and isotherms show hydrophilic character of films. ⺠Mechanical and barrier properties of films depend on compounds used and their compatibility. ⺠Different internal arrangement is observed as a function of film composition.
