Abstract
► Gelatin films were manufactured by twin-screw co-rotating extrusion. ► Effects of extrusion parameters on the properties of the films were studied. ► Higher screw speed influenced water permeability and solubility of gelatin films. ► Higher temperature profile resulted in films possessing higher puncture strengths. ► Further research is required to improve film formulation and properties.
