Abstract
► Gas transport in perforation-mediated polymeric MAP of strawberries was modelled. ► Randomly packaged strawberries were modelled as a porous medium. ► The derived problem was solved for the headspace in a 2-D arrangement. ► CO2 transport through continuous packaging and micro-perforations is comparable.
