Abstract
⺠Toroid cans were designed for a possible process innovation in canning. ⺠Process application possibilities of toroid cans were determined. ⺠Flow field and temperature distribution inside the cans were computed. ⺠Additional boundary inside the toroid cans increased the heating rates. ⺠Improvement in the heating rates in toroid cans were demonstrated.
