Abstract
⺠Extraction and deacidification of vegetable oils were examined when using ethanol as the solvent. ⺠The effects of solvent hydration and temperature on mutual solubility of the compounds were determined. ⺠The experimental data were correlated using the UNIQUAC model. ⺠The number of theoretical stages in a solid-liquid extractor depends on solvent hydration and temperature. ⺠Using the UNIQUAC parameters, the solvent degree-of-recovery was determined for phases downstream of the chilling process.
